Mumbai: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has won the Filmfare award for best debut male on Saturday became the first ever Pakistani winner.
Pakistan actor Fawad Khan, who debut in Bollywood last year with his movie Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor, has won the award of best debut male at Filmfare award and became the first Pakistani to win the award at Filmfare ever.
The 60th Filmfare has been held in Mumbai on Saturday with numerous Bollywood celebrities hit the red carpet with their elegant and gorgeous appearance and Fawad Khan was among those to attend the ceremony.
Fawad Khan has received the Best debut award among other nominations in this category were Tahir Raj Bhasin for Mardaani, Tiger Shroff for Heropanti, Sharib Hashimi for Filmistaan and Freddy Daruwala for Holiday, he has already became very popular with his chemistry with Sonam Kapoor in Rhea Kapoor’s Khoobsurat.
The actor received his first Filmfare award along with wife Sadaf Fawad, presented by Jhataleka Malhotra and Sonam Kapoor said thanks to cast and crew of movie after winning the award stated that you guys are the instrument of my success; it is beautiful to get love from people in India and Pakistan.
The Best film award has been grabbed by Queen while its lead actress Kangana Ranaut won the Best actress award, the best actor award bagged by Shahid Kapoor for lead role in Haider.
